Nose: Toffee, white chocolate, lemon peel and Ardbeg’s signature peaty character.
Palate: Exactly younger feeling of Ardbeg 10. Strong, spicy and has a big amount of phenol.
Finish: Medium length. Peat is dominant and combines with intense wood spice with forest fruits.
From Ardbeg’s ‘Journey to Ardbeg 10’, there comes Still Young. Ardbeg Distillery wanted to reflect the age effect on their whisky with three expressions, respectively ‘Very Young'(6 yo), ‘Still Young'(8 yo), ‘Almost There'(9 yo).
Since it is named as the journey to legendary 10 year old, inspecting the whisky is really fun. I can say that liked this whisky, especially the chocolate feeling on the nose.
